When I open up MSN Messenger 5.0 – it asks me if I want to sign in as one of my IDs. How does it know me by that ID? Can I make it always ask what ID I want to use?
Thanks again,
V
It “remembers” every ID you (or anyone else using your login) has ever used. You can tell it to always ask by first signing out, then click where it says “To sign in with a different account, click here.” On the login screen that pops-up, pick a login, but make sure the box labeled “Sign me in automatically” is NOT checked. Then the next time you run Messenger it will not automatically login. You’ll have to click to login and then pick an account to use.
How can i make it “dont remember” other emails that have been used.. i dont want other people using my pc’s messenger to know who else has used it.
thanx
I thought that was done by cookies, if that helps you, but now that i think of it, maybe cookies are only for the internet browsers and not messaging programs, but if so, in internet explorer, if you use that, under tools go to internet options and delete the cookies then go to settings and maybe if you set the disk space to 1 that will be so small it can’t hold it. But anywhere and every where you have to log in you will have to do it by hand because no where will remeber you. I am however making my best guess, i’m not extremely computer literate, but hope it helps…..
As far as I know – the sign-in history of MSN 5.0 is not related to cookies in anyway.
Marco, what operating system do you happen to be running on?
oops, my bad, didn’t think so, but wasn’t sure, computers are so confusing, just when you think you know something…. hehehe
