everytime someone messages me the window gets bigger with every line they send…i’ve tryed unistalling and re-installing no use still happening…..this is vey annoying…..can anyone help please !!! thanks merlin324

I had the same problem with that version, I just upgraded to 6.0.1750 and now its fine. Perhaps it was a minor bug.
i’m using version 5.6 build 1358 I don’t care for the new version as I really like the skin I have for it and like keeping it simple i’m running xp pro never had any problems like this before the only thing I changed is I start up with mozilla 1.7 now instead of internet explorer
on 5.6 versions there is NO problems with pm boxes at all that is a known fact, however it appears to me that you have already tried version 6 in which there ARE problems with the pm box size and it gets bigger and bigger
All you haves to do is save your profiles folder from yahoo folder if you have archives on onto desktop. and save your skins too then Remove yahoo from add/remove, delete the yahoo folder from programs file folder and reboot , once rebooted reinstal version 1358 and you should be ok.
I haves a funny feeling you reinstalled 1358 back on top of version 6 which would explain why your pm boxes are getting bigger. hopes that helps.
well I found the problem……i am running window blinds and from what i’m guessing one of my spyware programs picked up stardock as a threat and deleted something there. I reinstallled window blinds and all is well now. thanks for you help I should really be keeping a log of my program installs and tweeks as these programs seem to be so interconected sometimes. merlin324
martin_bradley2002 well like I was saying in my response to finding the problem….i love my window blinds skin as well and 6.0 doesn’t allow the windowblind frame skin. In yahoo messenger 5.6 I’m using an old felix the cat background skin that has some neat looking stars beside my friends name. I did see some skins for 6.0 I liked by queeeenofspadez but I’m wondering if I could apply my old felix the cat background to it?
