When I boot my computer, I get the following error message:
The system could not load or run a program in the win.ini file.
Cannot find file filename.exe (or it’s components)…
The Windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to a device file, but the device file no longer exists
I just need to press Enter and Windows loads fine, but I wanna know how to fix it.
Anyone know how?
Start > Run > Type “msconfig” > Find (in any one of the tabs) filename.exe, and uncheck it. Restart. After Windows loads, it will say this is a diagnostic startup. Tick “Do not display again”, and hit Okay.
K, fixed it. Thanks alot Spike.
You’re Welcome. 🙂 That’s why I’m here.
