MemberYou seem to have some fairly serious problems there. The viruses/adware/spyware, call them what you will, have most probably inserted startup entries into your registry. All I can suggest is to search Symantec for each of your specified parasites, and have a look at their removal instructions.

MemberThat was weird ran coolwebshredder and it said that i have no coolweb found. But ran webroot spysweeper right after and it found cws_ns3 and cws_tinyo. Are these even hidden from shredder. All are in the registry.

MemberI have these that I just can’t seem to get rid of…I think one is associated with Kazaa which has not been on my PC for ages. But these are the three. I thought Delfin was just a DVD viewer.
# Altnet
# Delfin
# DownloadwareAny idea how to get rid of them???

Here is a detailed guide on how to remove cws_ns3

I think I had Downloadware once, if I remember right you can not just kill the process from the task manager. Download winpatrol if you are a bit hesitant to go into your registry or to change your boot.ini. You can get it here.

You can use it to see what programs are running from startup and you can kill active process, I think that did the job of stopping the process.
If I remeber right you should be able to unistall it from your add/remove programs, I am not sure though. Check that also out.
This was a while back or it was some other spyware/addware that I had so if some of the things I have written may not work.April 2, 2005 at 5:51 am #118081jc457

Click on “go” and a window should come up saying “Virus scan” or “securtiy check”. I’ve used both these services and think they work really well. Should get rid of your problem. If not, let me know and I can walk you through on how to fix it.

MemberCheck that you have your pop-up blocker disabled and try again. Also, it might use ActiveX (I’m not really sure, haven’t been there in a while), so try enabling that too.
