For some reason, I think there was an issue back in the day when 5.1 was actually released. Was there not some issue with 5.1 overlapping 4.7? Or does 4.7 stick around and 5.1 runs along side it?

Thanks, I tried that. Then I reinstalled back Windows Messenger 5.1. I attempted to start the program and guess what, same “The application failed to started because the application configuration is incorrect” message. 😡
