KeymasterYahoo! is testing the waters to see if Messenger users would be willing to pay for interoperability with AIM, ICQ and MSN.
Would you be willing to pay if Yahoo provided compatibility with MSN, AIM and ICQ?

MemberYahoo! Messenger can only do Yahoo! and it’s full of errors, and missing requests that users want.
If Yahoo! suddenly add another 3 platforms, I would predict more than 3 times the errors, and not something of a sufficient quality to pay for.
Just stick to the basic Trillian if that’s your thing.

Memberwhat freddy says is absolutely true… I think first Y! should fix the old bugs (without adding new ones, like done in v5.6)
sometimes Y! gets so annoying that you just have to shut it down so that it keeps quiet… okie no more complaining about Yahoo…. but what I said is true… and many will agree…September 16, 2003 at 3:04 pm #55568hellsfury_25m
MemberFirst off I would never pay for a service that I can get for free under a GPL license. Secondly I have to agree with Freddy, why pay for buggy software that never gets fixed for one protocol? Let alone 3 protocols!

MemberThere’s more than enough free multi messengers out there such as EasyMessage and Miranda for people to rush out and buy one.
