While using Windows Live Messenger I have status Offline on the PC I am talking to while status on my own PC is Online. Despite this, writing both ways works fine.
I have checked the obvious choices like The Allow list and other ticks that could be relevant on my profile, but that doesn’t help. I am still Offline in the other end of the connection.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Helge.
If you have windows live it now works like yahoo with offline messeging. But with a twist you can have yourself set to offline and still chat away with whoever without others knowing you’re actually online.
Thanks for the reply.
When I am chatting (with my son in another city), I actually want him to see that I am online. Trouble is, my PC tells me I am online and his PC tells him I am offline. I have checked that I am using the right options in Personal–>My status and Privacy–>Allow list, but still no cure.
Are there any other options to check?
Thanks,
Helge.
Ohh this happened to me., are you using msn messenger plus too?
If you are there is a section in there that allows you to run 2 messengers at the same time 2 seperate id’s. I found by unchecking that option and uninstalling and reinstalling plus again it stopped.
Anybody have an answer for this issue? I’m having the same problem
I had similar problem and emailed the developers of WML. The problem was solved when I installed the lastest version of WML.
