Memberwtbwplug is a plugin for MsgPlus! which allows any size Custom Emoticons and Display Pictures in MSN Messenger 6.
Current version is only compatible with MSN Messenger version 6.1.0211 (you can get the latest one here at http://messenger.msn.com). A generic version will be released soon.
Add Custom Emoticons and Display Pictures as you normally would: the pictures you add will keep their original size instead of being resized to 96×96 or 19×19. Your existing Custom Emoticons and Display Pictures will continue to work at the old size.
IMPORTANT: To see Custom Emoticons bigger than usual, your contact will also need wtbwplug installed or they will not see the image properly. However, the plugin is not needed to see any size Display Pictures.
The larger a picture you use, the longer it will take to display, and if you use too large picture for your Display Picture, your contact’s IM window may become messed up, and they wont be able to see what you say. No, it won’t crash them, it’s just annoying as hell and nobody will speak to you if you do it. So don’t.Even though this is a Messenger Plus plugin, it won’t be listed in the plugin list as it doesn’t have any commands. Don’t worry about it, especially if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
To uninstall, simply run setup.exe again.

MemberHey guys
i got this patch and installed it.
i have MSN messenger 6.1.0211 and Plus! 2.54.74..
anyway its installed but it doesn’t work. When I change my display picture to a slightly larger one it doesnt increase in size, I know because I asked my m8s and they said it was the same size..and I logged into two accounts to double check but the display pic is still only 90×90 (or whatever its meant to be)
how are you meant to make it bigger?April 20, 2004 at 2:40 pm #81600detn8r
ParticipantOK, it seems that you are not the only one with the issue of this. You are now the 3rd person where this does not work. I will contact wtbw, and have him set something up for you.

i gave it to all my friends… few said it didn’t work. went to their house and set it up for them. and it appears they just didn’t read the instructions.. (like not the latest messenger.. etc…)
what i’m saying is.. my friends never had issues..

ParticipantUnless I can have someone come here who may know whats happening, you all must wait a bit. wtbw is going through Finals right now in school, so he’s quite busy. I have an email address you can contact him at, but until I recieve a go ahead by him, I will hold up. Please be patient.

MemberLooks like some people I ask can see the enlarged picture while some others just see the regular sized one…I found this fact extremely weird, but this might be a good clue to find an answer to the problem.

MemberAlthought this should be working, try minimising or asking your contact to minimise your conversation and then restoring the conversation, most of the time this resizes the Display Picture box. Therefore making the picture actually look like it’s in the Display Picture box. This is a suggestion to see if it will work, I don’t guarantee a thing, as I don’t use this plugin.

ParticipantTo properly test the plugin, send a overlarged emoticon. (Both parties must have it installed) If the emoticons display’s normal (19×19) to you then you know the plugin is not setup correctly.
