ParticipantOkay, I’m working on making my own Yahoo Classic skin. it will look a lot like the normal Classic.. right now it isn’t completed just .png edited images. [Based off SkyBlue skin.]
[Sceenshot is on D.A]
once it’s…”done” it should look completely like the yahoo classic skin with a better design.Download the beta!!

ParticipantThanks!
question for anyone who reads this. anyone know how to change the menu bar text?
thanks.March 10, 2009 at 5:44 pm #173678imported_Ven0m
MemberThe actual text? You can’t change this through skinning – you can through editing res_msgr.dll in Resource Hacker – which is against Yahoo’s Terms Of Service.

ParticipantAny help. I know it’s in “colors.xml” but I wonder which one of these I need to change in order to make the menu bar text just “black”?
Code:
I’m not really a pro in CSS but I know most of the color codes in them

MemberProbably these…
Code:
Try changing the values to FFFFFF since that’s the hex color code for black.

Participantisn’t FFFFFF white and 000000 black

ParticipantDermot is correct – black is #000000
A great little app that lets you get the hex code for any spot on your screen is ColorPix. It’s very useful for identifying hex codes in existing layouts.
Mandarin Design has a good reference for hex too.
