Y Tunnel Pro Offers SPAM Protection it will Scan the Users Believed to be SPAM Bots for the following Data:
It will search their Profile for Hyperlink Text Protocol – If found a user will be placed into the Super iggy Bin.
It Will Search For Adult Content Profiles – Option to Add user to the Iggy Bin if they have Adult Profiles. But still this dont change the case that it could be a SPAM Bot
It Will Ignore Users who have CAPITAL LETTERS ON THEIR Profiles – This has no Option To Aliminate this Problem
It Sometimes ignores users who post links to their Site and Includes it as SPAM!
You are probably wonder why I am typing this aint you ? Well let me tell you this SPAM Protection dont do no favours it will just ignore the users with the following Content I have just added When are we going to have a Professional Yahoo Messenger Super Iggy SPAM System I wonder!!!!!!!! I know Chet mite Update the SPAM Protection again but it still wont Aliminate this Problem! with SPAM Bots Who Do Enter and that are on the Yahoo Servers!

If you’re going to post at least make the content accurate.
When you got that Crash Link I was Away In Sidari – Greece I had no Control over our Website ( Apologys have been made ) However I suggest you ‘ review this or Email me at vb_packets@yahoo.com. Our Server was taken out I heard when I got back and was all deleted by Thomas and the host is still patching the Servers * And looking into it! The SPAM Protection does ignore Users for SPAM and Profile SPAM but this I think does need a major boost. The only bugs I found with this in the past 2 days is * Not being Able To Login to your ID to Scan the Profiles * and * Ignoring a userfor SPAM or Profile SPAM more than Once in a go here is a Example Chet….

i am a faithful user of Y!TunnelPro and am now on V2.0 Build 330. the SPAM Bot detection system in YTP is the best you could possibly hope for on yahoo considering the alternative is ignoring them yourself. to put in perspective what a task ignoring them is, Y!TunnelPro has automatically ignored over a thousand SPAM bots since the release of V2.0 330 two days ago. do you really want to manually ignore that many users?
as far as the filter’s accuracy, of course there are some false positives and occasionally a person will be mistaken for a bot because sometimes the content in their profiles or chatroom text matches the filter parameters, BUT, with v2.0 there is a handy room ignore list under the chatters list so you can find someone in the room you have on ignore much easier. much like Yahelite it simply lists only the users in the room which have been ignored. the full iggy bin list is still accessible in the preferences window as well.I agree with you vb_packets, that forum is horrible. Not a friendly environment at all. Oh well, its cause I dont use his crappy program.
lol I know the Y Tunnel site is a non friendly inviroment but im not judging anyone. I become a member of the Y Tunnel Pro software the first day it came out and I got abused. let me make a point if you signed up to my forum you wont be abused and moaned at about ” Posting in the wrong Topic ” or ” We are not accepting anymore Feature Requests ” this is all I hear on the forum and when I make a post relative or non relative I still get moaned at so I just ley Y Tunnel Pro Admins ban me off their site. I dont get involved in non friendly inviroments and will even block the site myself I think it is that way incline. I dont have a problem with Chet , Donna or anyone else on that site it is just the way the Attitude Arguments are and the Lack of ” Disipline ” even a member there who I knew just because he was my friend and he was on the forum he got ban too I dont even know the full story to that but is all I heard from him is that he was ban because he was friends with me she said to him ” why be friends with a loser ” do I look like I loser to you ? I dont think so maybe it is because I am better and always will be! Y Tunnel could be made by a baby and this is my honest truth dont take a pro skilled programmer to do something like that. Anyway I have finished writing this story about Y Tunnel Pro and I hope you understand if you are even reading this chet from your RSS View I did nothing wrong to you or Donna it is just your lack of ” Disapline ” due to your Forum Guidelines! . I still use your software I dont believe it is keylogged or nothing! Ok, everyone, let’s just stay on the subject of Y!tunnel pro and leave the site and the bickering for somewhere else. If this becomes a slagging thread it will be locked.
This is not a slagging thread and I cant find that in this catagory but I understand your point!. But Chet had to get a reply from his previous smart post!
i dont know why I was banned…..one minute Donna said I was “friends with a loser” and the next im banned 🙁
King, make sure you follow the moderators requests or you may find your self with consequences from them.
This is not the place to bring up your problems with another forum. If you have issue with the Y!Tunnel Forums and your membership with them, contact them directly. This site is not a mediator in these kind of issues.
VB – your post about some of Y!Tunnel’s SPAM limitations and Chet response to it with his views was fine. Keep it within this realm and this thread will stay open.
However if anyone strays back into issues with the way the Y!Tunnel site is run then this thread will be locked and/or removed. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
Despite my Grievances w/ the person(s) that created Y! Tunnel and the Forum Members,
I find that Y! Tunnel when used correctly can be a great enhancement on a much needed
program.
As for spam protection, I think it is the only program out that offers such a thing, for
Instant Messaging.
I Think it should not only scan profiles and text, but from what I have found when packet
Sniffing. When a BOT posts a link or just a regular text message in the room, a special
font tag is appended to the end of it.
If I were going to block spam, I would have it scan for that to increase its accuracy.
Y Tunnel is a great Program to use and I have their site on my most respected lists ….. along with several others including this site . so I am cool if everyone else is with the program or the Creator (Chet) 🙂
I just installed Ytunnel a few days back and it dont offer me much protection. I get booted more when I installed it… Any suggestions?
