Everytime I log into YIM it tells me I should upgrade to 6.0
Is there anyways to stop this because I hate YIM 6.
If you wanna keep useing 5.6 and get sick of the prompt to up-date you can disable it really easyerly
go to C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger and find the file named yupdater and rename it to someting like _yupdater and that should stop the prompts to up-date when you log in
They are asking you to upgrade to the newest version, because soon 5.6 will no longer work..
Thats how they phaze out old clients.
Move to the new Messenger man, I hated it at first, but it is really not bad. There are patches and such to bring back old things like the familiar menu’s. It is really better, plus, you can switch to the old version’s skin to make it look almost like the old. Good luck
