Yesterday I couldn’t get any profiles to load and now I guess I know why.
I think they’re going for a more professional, mature company look as compared to the old. Apparently now you cannot customize the colors of your profile, and the picture is on the left instead of right. Also it appears that it now does not allow ASCII characters to be displayed (not 100% sure of this). Some of my friends’ accounts that had ASCII in their nickname now just shows up as question marks in the profile. They might change the look again so I’ll post a screen shot of it right now.

MemberYeah… looks horrible. They shrunk the picture size, took away the ability to type any character other than 0-Z.
Why do all of Yahoo’s “up”dates seem to make their service worse? :

ParticipantAs far as I’m concerned, I really like it. Yahoo is starting to strip away all of their immaturity of a poor company and updating it towards a very mature strong company. After this possible lawsuit, I’m hoping to see nothing but great things from their member pages (profiles), TOS, chat & messenger along with their great upgrade in mail storage. I’m very glad to be a (happy) long time Yahoo member.
Two things I have noticed about the change is,
1) it seems to take a bit longer to load the profile pages
2) I’m unable to add a URL for my voice.Anyone else confirm?

MemberWow, I didn’t even think about the voice. You’re right, can’t even have a “hear my voice” link anymore.
Yeah, I think I like the new look, however I do wish we could at least customize the colors to any color we wanted to personalize our profile.
Yeah Oreo, that’s funny how they just say it’s a 404 now. They should of just redirected you to the members directory or something. Ah well, I agree with detn8r, Yahoo! is maturing.

Do you remember back in the day when someone figured out how to do that? That was great. Yahoo! will probably never slip again tho. 🙁
