MemberOh, and (mebbe it dont belong in this thread, but…)
When I visit the message boards, and wish to post a message, I notice that if I forget to capitalise a word, and go back to edit, I cant type the appropriate capital, use the Del key to remove the offending lowercase, I have to then Bksp to get rid of it!
Whatthe?

MemberSound: Seems that Yahoo broke 4 of the voice servers. 2 of them won’t even connect, and 2 more will result in a temp voice ban upon attempting to use them.
Also, if you’ve been in the room more than 55 minutes, then you’ll have to refresh to obtain a voice connection. The voice auth seems to expire at 55 minutes.

MemberYes, Yahoo has been making server upgrades and changes for the last near two months, and has broken stuff in the process.
Oh yes, booting (or server side disconnections) are patched on the newer AC4/SP1 servers, meaning people can packet flood you, you’ll never get disconnected. 🙂

ParticipantVen0m thanks for the info! I know it doesn’t fix anyone’s problems – but at least for me, knowing what the problem is helps me be patient. I know Yahoo doesn’t like to publicly admit when something has gone amiss, but communication goes a long way towards calming the masses LOL. T
Thank you for taking the time to let us know a little more about what’s going on. I for one am going to ride it out and stay as positive as possible. I’m sure the mirage on the horizon will eventually turn into something real.

MemberWell, sometimes you have to “stalk” Yahoo for information. 😉

Memberobservation: Ordinary messy is so unstable at times, i have resorted to using a different account, on a different PC, using the Web Messy
It’s more stable, but when it DOES have a ‘disconnect’ it actually gives me a message that ‘ have been signed out because have signed in on a different computer’
Who or What is doing the signing on?

Membernow, here’s one for the books…
either yahoo have finally fixed it, or…
Installed XP SP3 yesterday, went out, left the ‘pooter completely off, even no supply…
may have a flat BIOS battery, but when i came home and powered up, had to reset all my favourite BIOS settings, cos it had reverted to defaults, but in the process, i inadvertently set the system clock 10 mins fast..
saved, rebooted and computed happily all evening, WITH NARY A SINGLE YAHOO DISCONNECT!
NOT ONE!!
possible there’s a thing in the time disparity?
i also made a point of going and turning off Auto Updates of time and date…
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…
