KeymasterI think if Yahoo does not fix it in 6 hours you should post it anyway, at least on Secunia.
After 6 hours yahoo does not do updates for the rest of the weekend usealy.

MemberMaybe it’s just me but I think no matter how many times you try and contact yahoo about this boot exploit, seems to me if you’re not a paid customer they really care less what you have to say.Just like if your Yahoo ID gets stolen and you’re not a paid customer, good luck trying to get it back.
I’m also wondering if anyone is having problems with chat clients???Seems since this morning when I use Elite and go into Iowa 1 no one can see me type anything.I have tried using other clients except YMlite and still I cant be seen when I type.I know a few other ppl this morning were having the same problems and I’m still having the problem.Would this happen to be because of the boot exploit or yahoo updating??? Pretty sad when you’ve been on yahoo for years and cant even sit in a room and enjoy chatting with friends without having some kind of program ran on you.

KeymasterThe booting is still there I recommend you post on Secunia and Bugtraq anyway. Why wait two more days, Yahoo is not going to fix the problem.

ParticipantPersonally i doubt it has anything to do with whether you’re a paying customer or not but the shear volume of e-mails they would receive each day for a global company and cannot deal with every single person individually.
And since a majority of yahoo! products are indeed free the non paying customer does not have much to do but look at the ads around such products as yahoo!’s revenue is advertisement based, this is your payment to yahoo! so in all sense of the word you’re a contributor to yahoo!.
Chat clients used the after 124 field to hold whats called INF Data like client build, protocol version, time, line number so when yahoo! started to filter out this field it made nobody see your posts bar yourself locally, but most clients would have been updated to fix this and changed INF location back to the 117 after field.
The boot has not been patched but at least yahoo! is aware of it and have tried to do something about it whether or not it was useless first time…maybe in the next few hours of downtime we can hope they get it right.

ParticipantCould you please keep the campaign to delete id’s to pm ?
filling threads with these personal requests to remove id’s is daunting.
taking word of mouth from strangers in a forum to get id’s removed is ill advised.
Any of these posted id’s could be fine and just a personal crusade to get someones id’s deleted.
Thanks.
