Memberhey…I recently uninstalled yahoo messenger and was wondering if anyone can give me the url to get acid x’s messenger clone again? I’ve sifted all through the forum before asking…and I’ve only seen it mentioned, but no link posted. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all so much:)

MemberThere are other alternatives to Yahoo! IM, Including JAM ( http://www.geocities.com/trolling_around ) and TIM ( http://www.yahelite.org ) which is Tiny Instant Messenger with limited features.

MemberThank you freddy, however, I am looking for this specific program because I don’t want an alternative to messenger, just want the cloning capabilities. I’m very limited on hd space on the pc I use yahoo on and the space is very valuable.

Participantexplosion242, did you even bother to read the author’s posts? I suggest you to read them next time before making suggestions.
Gabby, what is the FULL name of the application? I cannot seem to find it.

MemberIt’s hard to understand what they want.
Clone:
messenger clone, acts and looks like messenger but isn’t
opens multiple versions of messenger (hence cloning)
clones people on Yahoo! Messenger (not here).Surely all suggestions are welcome….

ParticipantA clone as in a cloning of the program. As they said they want it because it probably is smaller is size compared to ypager.

Memberthe program I am looking for is just a cloning thing, not really sure how to word it because I wasn’t aware you could clone peoples names. It is just to open multiple instances of yahoo messenger. I want ypager on my pc, but I want to be able to run multiple instances of it. The only name I can recall is acid-x…it was justa program you opened and it was a picture that said acid-x on it, you dragged and dropped the ypager.exe file onto the picture and it did something where you could run multiple copies of messenger on the same pc at the same time.

This site holds your answer. It has a multipatcher for both Y!M 5.5 and 5.6 🙂

Memberforgot to post that the website posted does have the program I was looking for….but now I’ve got another problem lol…they one for 5.6 is liked to the one for 5.5 instead of the 5.6 version. Shifter I am assuming this is your website? If so, could you fix the link pretty pretty please? hehe Or can someone tell me where to get 5.5 messenger from? Thank you all so much!

ParticipantWell now how did that happen. Sorry about that, I’ll fix that ASAP. You can get it directly from here Yahoo!Multi-Gold for 5.6

ParticipantI’m really confused. You uninstalled Yahoo Messenger, because you have spacial concerns on your system, and all you wanted was a patch to allow you to run more of messenger, even though you removed it?
April 11, 2004 at 5:40 am #46994shifter
ParticipantI don’t see anything to be confused about. He uninstalled Yahoo, (he never stated any reason for it), and simply wanted multi-yahoo capabilities on his newly installed version.
I think his statement about not wanting another alternative IM clients because of limited HD space is what has you confused. Make sense now?

Participantpossibly [:P] anyway, then I apologize to explosion to jumping to conclusions.
