MemberAlright, so I stupidly signed up for yahoo’s secure seal. I was under the impression it was done by using a cookie and not associated with actual accounts. That if you deleted the cookie or removed the seal the sites that are associated with yahoo ( like amish donkey) you could still use. Nope! not the case. Every time I try to log into a yahoo game, I have to type my password twice, It then redirects the page to my.secure.yahoo.com. And then my yahoo home page( which not even where I wanted to be ) Which will not allow me to use a backdoor to yahoo games anymore.
I am now under the impression that yahoo has put something in the registry or attached to the account that tells anything on yahoo to go to my.secure.yahoo.com which then displays my yahoo home page and not the page I’m trying to get to .
Is there a way to edit the registry or find out exactly what they’ve added to the account so that I can undo it so that I will be able to use the backdoors to yahoo games?
I deleted internet options, deleted the cookies and temp files, deleted the windows temp files too. I even formatted and still I am missing something. Anyone have any ideas how I can correct this problem?
If you need more information I will be more than happy to provide it .
Thank you
Carrie

ParticipantI use the secure seal and i’ve never been redirected or anything that you mentioned. It is in-fact cookie based because if i clear cookies, i have to reset the seal. So i’m confused as to why all this is happening to you.
Which browser are you using? And have you tried a different browser to see if the same thing happens?
Also, I have no trouble using backdoors either. Nor do i have to type my password twice. Just wanted to mention this because i do use the seal and none of that has happened to me, i wonder if anyone else is experiencing this?

ParticipantI use the secure seal, and I just checked out Amishdonkey.com. I was in fact able to enter a gameroom through the backdoor on the site on the first try. The secure seal does use a cookie, so it must be something else other than the seal interfering with this procees for you.
I agree with hatedjealousy, tell us what browser you are using and perhaps try another one. Another option would be to try the backdoor site using your ID on another PC, if you have access to one, and see if it allows you to log in.

MemberIt was happening with Explorer 6.0 and firefox. And yes Amy it was also occuring on my laptop as well as my desktop. Actually, I ended up calling yahoo, because I have them as my isp, they walked me through several steps, including cleaning out my cookies and cache for the umpteenth time. It still referred me to my main yahoo page, they even had me go so far as to reinstall their yahoo software, When I asked why? they said well when you sign on its expecting to see your registration and it is associating it with that.. It made no sense to me because some ids were the free ids and it shouldn’t have been doing it with those, So finally right before he ends the call, he says, do you have a firewall? Yes, zone alarm security suite 6.0.. Please remove that.. Usually zone alarm doesn’t interrupt the service of anything so I had my doubts, I shut it down and low n behold, it was zone alarm.
Thank you for your help. I am used to them telling me Norton is causing the problem but lately its been zone alarm. Which is a shame because I have been spoiled by not having to deal with too many problems with it

ParticipantZone Alarm security suite have a privacy filter that removes parts of headers from pages.
Thus sites will stop you downloading directly from their page as they believe you are leeching through hotlink because of the removed headers.
Zone alarm Pro 6.1 is just as an affective firefall but the options are not as many, and you can turn privacy filter off.
If you use the ad blocker on your firefox i suggest trying out the Ad Blocker Plus extension for firefox.

MemberThank You dermont, amy & hated for taking the time to respond, I thought with zone alarm security suite I was covering all basis and I liked that it had IM protection. I will definately check into the ad blocker extension, Dermont.

Hi Carrie.
I’m real glad to see this problem in print somewhere, as it’s been driving me crazy too.
But I’m sure what you describe there has nothing at all to do with secure seal, which I don’t have, nor do any of my friends who have the same problem.
I’ve opened a separate thread HERE, and I’m sure someone will find the solution for us both! -
