MemberYahoo is beginning to upgrade users to 100 MB as of today. I personally have not received my 100 MB upgrade but others have. Look out for an email from Yahoo stating that you will be upgraded shortly. Should look something like this:
Quote:quote: Notice: Change of service to your Yahoo! Mail accountDear Yahoo! Mail User,
Thanks for using Yahoo! Mail. It’s our goal to offer you an email experience that makes it easy to stay in touch. Periodically, we make service changes to enhance that experience for our users. As of June 16, 2004, you’ll enjoy the following benefits:
* Increased storage capacity from your current level to 100MB
* Increase in individual message send/receive size from 3MB to 10MB
* An improved layout thats even easier to useYou will continue to access your Yahoo! Mail account as usual. No further action is required, and there will be no interruption of your service.
We hope you enjoy the new features and benefits. If you have any questions, please visit our Help page. Thanks again for using Yahoo! Mail.
Sincerely,
The Yahoo! Mail TeamI assume that all users get the 100 either tomorrow or a day after they receive this email. Shouldn’t be long though.

Then sends you to your inbox with an updated interface. Oh and by the way, mine has upgraded me right away. My notice doesn’t say I have to wait until the 16th.

MemberThis probably is why I am unable to log in two of my oldest Yahoo! accounts! 🙁
I am looking forward to the upgrade so thanks for sharing this with us. 😀

MemberIt took me forever to log in this morning but when I did I rec’d the notice of the upgrade. It looks nice, I don’t see a huge difference but the 100MB is definitely better.

MemberI received my upgrade on my oldest account (the one I started when IM’s crust was cooling). But it’s not letting me delete my icky “BULK” mail as of now. I suspect I’ll give them a chance to implement everything…..still wating. 😀

KeymasterI received the updgrate right from the morning (I wake up at 11am CDT though :D)
Everything works for me, but rather slow and sometimes it also shows ‘page not found’
Seems they have done this to stay in competition with google mail. And 100MB is sufficient enough for mails. Who would like to change their old and known to everyone email address, if it is sufficiently big enough?
And they also did this without any anouncement like yahoo messenger beta. 😎
