Too true. Anything before XP was too easy. 😡 But XP is not impossible…
Anyway, I thought this topic was about webcam capture software? 😉

MemberWhy would you need to capture their webcam for anyway? If that was an option yahoo would have made it. What you plan on spreading it around the internet vidoes of them to try and get back at them or threaten them? No need to capture webcams. Would you like someone capturing your webcam?

MemberFlying, I agree…. I’m confused and I actually feel a bit naive not knowing there was even software out there based on this (i guess you can do anything nowadays). Can anyone refer me to some good websites re: software to research this more?

Why? How bout if you have family that lives far away that you rarely see in person?
Yahoo takes forever to add options they should have already. And if you think that Yahoo adds everything that is needed, then tell me why you can still get booted by other people (anyone that has the whim, not just the people that should be able to)? Therefore you have other apps like YTunnel.
If you are worried about someone “getting back” at you or “threating” you, don’t do wrong things on a webcam! Sure, record my webcam! You will be bored to tears!

MemberWhy should Yahoo have already have added that feature? Just because you want to record someone without their permssion, doesn’t mean all want their cam capture, so they can show their firends and family. Sometimes people get on cam sothey know that they other person knows what they look like without be seceretly recored. If it was a feature everyone wanted, which not everyone wants, it would have been added before now. There are reason why people get on cam, that does not make it right that you have to record them without telling them, how would you like it if someone recorded you telephone conversations without your knowledge, or recorded you on cam without your knowledge? The point is Yahoo doesn’t think there is a need for this. Yes there are sickos out there that would record someone and try to blackmail someone or try and use it against them, as sad as it seems I seen it happen on Cameracafe used to be called seesaw. There used to be a built in record option when you went into rooms and anyone on cam could be recorded. They took that option away when to many complained got threatened, their vidoes put up on sites without their permission, their pictures put up without their permssion, yes and even stalked. Just because you like the idea of it being an option does not mean everyone does, and just because they have webcam and want to be on it, does not make you more right in capturing their videos over their not wanting to be captured.

MemberYou only want to record their vidoe without them knowing because if you tell them that you are recording them most would turn their cam’s off.

Who is this “you” that you mention? No one ever said Yahoo should add it as a feature. What was stated was that Yahoo doesn’t have everything it should have. Yet you seem to think it does!

…and just because they have webcam and want to be on it, does not make you more right in capturing their videos over their not wanting to be captured. And just because someone can write code doesn’t mean they should write viruses, yet it still happens. That is why we have antivirus programs. At some point you have to accept that the internet is a wilderness, and probably always will be. Therefore you must visit at some risk. If you don’t want someone recording your webcam, find a way to prevent it!
Try reading what was said again. And maybe answer the question.

ParticipantI agree with biohazard, the net is a freeworld for all. Hack or not, surf or lurk, and share or bare! Either way people are connected through it because its their choice. Yeah I know those are your opinions but that doesnt mean people dont have the right to make their own decisions. When you’re gonna go for the big wave and ride it, you must take the risk of being swallowed and washed out… Latez! 😎
