MemberHi everyone, since last week i dunno why but when i have signed with my username on yahoo yahoomessenger.exe 100% cpu usage. I have downloaded the version 8.0.0.711 too but still the same thing. The problem is that when i tried to sign in with a different user it does ot use 100% cpu usage. It only with that one username, i tried to signin on a different computer with that user still the same thing. Is there something wrong with my yahoo account??
thank

MemberIs your computer an older one? If so, that may be why Yahoo is using 100% resources.

MemberThen check the permissions. Also may be try some good antivirus. There may be 2 reason for this:-
1.Memory full(that u have enough)
2.Virus,malware or spywareSeptember 16, 2006 at 4:56 am #152250Dermot
ParticipantHi Khanghy,
Does the same id have problems logging into yahoo on other software bar messenger?
Try logging into Yahoo! Chat in Internet Explorer
See if it is able to login then.

KeymasterTry chat with a different IM name, I think your being booted. That is all I can think why you would use 100% cpu.

Then later i just switch it back to No Proxies and it works fine. Just Yahoo! loves messing with certain id’s at certains times. Of course with the other setting you can’t use voice, file sharing, etc… but it’s alright for temporary use so you won’t have to be without messenger!

KeymasterIf you try to switch IM names in messenger and they both have the same password, you must retype password or it will give you that “unable to login to yahoo messenger” error everytime.
