Ok i have just installed yahoo messenger 7.5 . i go into chat rooms alot of the time so i allways have chat invites off and my ignores set to ignore anyone not on my buddy list.
But somthing strange is happening. now apparently if you set your pm’s to buddies only you cannot receive text from anyone in a chat room unless they are on your buddie list. im not talking pm’s here im talking actual chat text.
yahoo says they are trying to make “yahoo chat more enjoyable” but they are just forceing people who want to be able to chat and not be booted into downloading and using third party programs.
so its either stopping a thousand instant message windows from filling your screen, or be able to chat with other people.
I think yahoo is making mistake after mistake with their programming.
they get rid of ychat, and now they do this.
if yahoo wants people to actualy use messenger they need to take a look at what the people want.
I agree there are many problems with yahoo. But many times yahoo services don’t really know unless those who are unhappy explains to them what the problems are. The link is to yahoo chat form and although many say it is a waste of time. I have to say that personally they have always worked with me and resolving problems. it may be worth a shot.

I have talked to everyone in the chat room i go to, they have the same issue. Apparently its yahoo’s new feature to messenger. so now in order to chat and NOT get booted by pm bombs you have to use yazak or another third party client.
