just randomly browsing, noticed a few issues on the webcam page – https://bigblueball.com/webcams/
1. The header images in the topmost blue content box are unavailable. They display with overlaid text (which is almost unreadable because of the overlay) in Firefox, and as the broken image thing in IE. (i didn’t bother checking other browsers). there’s a few other broken images on that page too.
2. in firefox, netscape, and flock, there’s a small snippet of ASP code showing…
3. in various browsers, the spacing between the ‘more webcams’ and ‘add your webcam’ collapses entirely, overlaying the text, or puts them on new lines, or whatever else the browser does.
i think that’s the major stuff i saw. not necessarily horrific damaging things, just little stuff to clean up when there’s time.
This page isn’t even linked anywhere anymore (I thought). Where did you find a link?
hmm, good question, and it took me a second to remember. from Spike’s bug report of a dead link, on that error page is a paragraph as such:
that’s where i saw the webcam link.
Ah hah! — I’ll fix the 404 page. By the way, your topic title cracked me up.
Question: Should we add a webcam page back into the mix? Opinions?
I think webcams are really fun to watch, and I’m not very knowledgeable about the different kinds of webcams. I would learn something if you redesigned and updated the page. 🙂
For now, I’ve updated the link on the 404 error page to pop open a little webcam window (same as what you get if you click the webcam image on my blog. I’ll (re)think about rebuilding a webcam resource center. 😉
