i’ll try your suggestions when i get back home. i’ve noticed that my system isn’t as responsive as before. even a simple task as opening the task manager is a tad slow.
i’ve scan with ad-aware and found one trojan dropper, i feel it isn’t the last of it, so i’ll try SuperAnti-Spyware.
this happened after a friend and i tried Teamviewer ( a remote PC software), the session lasted less than an hour, got disconected from NET, and after that, all these strange prob come popping in. my Antivir won’t update anymore, so does my Spybot Search and destroy. I have to manually DL an update for Antivir. most of the programs in my PC with auto-update doesn’t work anymore – save for Ad-aware.
seems like something is blocking these progs from updating. i even enabled DEP just to be sure, if at least there are malwares in my PC.
i’ll get back with the Hijack This report/log, thanks Doris – you’re really a helping hand.
thanks for the tip Dermot, but i think my YM finally caved in. my YM 8.1.421 would immediately crash after opening it.
i’ve tried almost everything, everything that i know at least.
1 – uninstalled YM; deleted its folder; deleted its entries in the registry; reinstalled it >>> got the same result.
2 – used REVO Uninstaller, deleted its entries in the registry, deleted entries in the yahoo folder. ; reinstalled YM >>> same result.
3 – installed ym9 beta >>> same result.
4 – uninstalled one of the three Java intances >>. same result
5 – cleared cookies, cache, files in INternet options ; unchecked the use 3rd party plug-ins.i’d get these error messages:
YahooMessenger.exe – Application Error
– the instruction at “0x00712ef7” referenced memory at “0x01292008”. the Memory could not ne “read”.
– the instruction at “0x007125f6” referenced memory at “0x01292008”. the Memory could not ne “read”.
Click OK to terminate the programshould i opt to upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus, can i still make these IDs (undys from profiles) __sample_undy__ using yahoo mail plus Address Guard? and can i log it into yahoo chatrooms?

i ran a number of chat clients, but i feel blind without my YM and YTK Pro. i’ll check out if my Flash is updated. thanks…

thanks for hooking me up with Revo – its great. scanned for virus and spyware and it came out clean. i used Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware together with Avira Antivir. i finally got my YM working, but i’m getting this runtime error everytime i enter into a chatroom. it doesn’t bug me much – but an error is still an error. i noticed i have multiple instance of java installed in my computer – where it should have uninstalled previous versions of itself. how do i go about this one? or should i just leave it as is? i’m pretty sure this is what’s making the error. i’ve attached some screen shots. I’m using YTK Pro with my YM. you’re a heaven-sent Doris :).
