about the second question, i had the same problem and the way i did it was that i went in windows messenger>tools>options…>accounts> then it says sign in with .Net(something) and Commications service. this will delete the automatic sign in. even it starts it wont sign you on first.
you should download the file that’s not for WinXP (98~Me) this might work. its a porgram that you need to instal before you download msn6
i have a similar problem but its because of the firewall, i just ask the ppl to send me the picture/file in an email. its alot better.
i not that mad, i also had a lot of costume emoticons and many display pics, but i stored the images in my pc. i knew something like that would happen, i does w/ all the “betas”
many friends have asked me about that. i read something about an add-on in mess.be in other forum section. there you can download the add-on and there are warnings sich as to choose a bright/whiteish background cuz it will be hard to read you contacts names. i might be wrong,:o i guess i was looking on the msn 5.0 section. if i was wrong maybe patchou can help you in a while.
try the IE thing, if that doesnt work, you are still able to download msn 5.0. i guess the web page is http://messenger.msn.com

for your problem, try re-instaling the program. it might work 😀
