Because some people login as invisible by default using alternative chat clients (like Yahelite) that don’t allow selective invisibility. If I’m waiting for someone to come online, the “DING DONG!” of a programme like Buddy Spy will let me know without me needing to sit at my computer – much more convenient and a real time- and hassle-saver in my opinion.
