MemberThat’s cheating if you ask me. You basically stopping the clock. If you want to do that, simply start a new game and when it’s going, hold down both mousebuttons until the little smiley face mouth turns into an O. Once it does, hit the escape key. To restart the time, minimize minesweeper and then restore it.

MemberThe best scores can also be stored in the registry. Depends on your operating system. What’s the point of entering a time like that? I’ll keep puttin my best scores in the correct way, by actually playing the game.

Member173 is pretty good. I was stuck at 170 for what seemed to be forever. However, if you can score 173 you can score close to 160 if you get the right game. Did you know if you click on a number with both mouse buttons at the same time, it will automatically remove any spaces that that number determines. So if you have a mine marked and you uncover a 1 next to it. Clicking on the 1 space will uncover all spaces around the 1 space not marked.

Those scores you see listed as world records are in most cases bogus (you can pause the timer) or they are done by getting very lucky and getting a game where most every free space is opened up right from the start.golfnutt
