MemberDon’t use Yahoo web-cam at all for security purposes. Web-cams can be viewed even without your knowledge and anyone viewing will know you are not at home, it’s not that hard for a good hacker to retrieve your personal information and if he’s close by then say good bye to your personal belongings and your computer. 🙁 Logitech quick cam pro comes with software for a room monitor with web access that is private, not only that but will record any movement in the room activated by a built in motion detector. Auto zoom and face tracking are a couple other good features. Not bad for a 100 bucks. That is if your using your cam for security, or if your spying on roommates it might be a good idea to use a majic marker to black out the green LED light. LOL

MemberMemory, Hard Drive speed and capacity, as well as several other factors may be the problem. Try cleaning your registry and optimizing your hard drive. Cookies won’t cause any problems but it’s good to clean out your cookie and internet casche at least once a week. If it only happens at certain times and not others then I would suggest getting a good firewall, Yahoo chat rooms are not a very safe place to be hanging around unprotected. Hacker intrusion will definately jam up your ststem if your running an older computer.

MemberI also use Zone Alarm firewall in conjunction with Windows XP firewall, upgraded to 5.6 and have been getting great results, no problems at all. Anyone tried to use Nortons, SystemWorks?
