A couple of months ago I was infected with the “Happy Holidays 2003” AIM virus. Well, to try and get rid of it I signed off and on the sign on screen I highlighted my s/n and hit delete. Then I typed my s/n in, logged in, and was then able to delete the link out of my profile. I don’t know if this works for everyone though because my friend tried it and said that it didn’t work…I don’t know why it would’ve worked for me though and no one else.
Go to “Preferences,” and then click on “Sign on/off.” Click the check mark off of “Show AIM Today window at Sign On.”

I had the virus and this worked for me.
