Memberthe emoticons I imported from the forum to aim range from playful to vulgar… I basically took all the ones that were available for use in postings and made them available for IM. I managed to get a temp site up for now, http://piranicon.com/im.htm

MemberI managed to import about 87 new emoticons into aim, some where animated. when I made my custom smiley set for another forum. the only downside is the other person needs to install thesmiley set, which isn’t that hard once you get the arf file hosted and linked somewhere. I created a mht file with ie that had all the emoticons so when you clicked on one it would copy the code you needed and then all you had to do was paste into your IM window. My sites down so I don’t have the files hosted anywhere anymore.
I did write a small app to help create the manifest.xml and html file I needed to get the emoticons working. The source code is at http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/ just search for “Aim Emoticon Import”.

MemberThe easier it is for idiots to use the internet, the crappier the internet becomes. If only the net were an OS, a nice fresh install to clean out all the crap thats accumulated over the years.
Hmm I wonder if theres a disclaimer stating anything you post in the forum can be used against you in a court of law and by posting you are giving your consent to save your post.piranicon
MemberNo no no… theres gotta be a way. By some freak accident instead of having the normal smiley popup it was a drop downmenu with the names of my smiley sets and an arrow to the side of each. cept it didn’t open up any further. I was never able to recreate that incident. Thats why i knows theres gotta be a way.
