I just hope google talk does not add too many features in future.
Keep it simple and fast with no ads, Just like the google.com main page.
Adding simleys/avatars/audibles/extra-fonts will just make it bulky.

But what I would like to see in GTalk is:
– File sharing.
– Reverse integration of Gmail with GTalk.
– Voice Conferencing.
– Offline messages.
