MemberNo, I don’t think there is a way to do this for AIM.
Tony
MemberIt depends on which medium (AIM, ICQ, Jabber, MSN or Yahoo) you are asking about.
Tony
MemberFirst of all, your Linux host needs to have Java 1.3 or later installed.
You can use FTP to upload your status.jar and status.conf.
You need shell access (for example via telnet or ssh) to be able to start and stop your OSI.
OSI is not yet prepared for translation. A future version of OSI may support translations, if there is a high demand for it. 😉 If I do support this, I probably need help with Spanish.
Tony
MemberNo, it is not possible.
You can create an html page containing the Online Status Indicator icons of your friends.
Tony
MemberIt is a very small organization. 😉
A network of hosts…
Tony
MemberA host can be blocked because it is in your local block list or because it is in the global block list. Sites that are causing problems for the entire Online Status Indicator network will be blocked globally.
Which site gave you money? 😉

You can check this on all Online Status Indicator hosts. The page at mess.be is just a wrapper for this.
As you might have noticed, the page at mess.be no longer works. It has been blocked because it puts a too heavy load on the Online Status Indicator hosts.
Tony
MemberHmm… http://www.onlinestatus.com is already taken
Tony
MemberThere is another small addition, although I don’t advise you to use it unless you really need to.
failoverhost=http://www.failoverhost.com:portno/
Adding this line will cause your OSI to use this failover host only, and not all failover hosts as in the automatic solution.
Have you joined the Online Status Indicator Web Ring yet?
Tony
MemberProbably not, but you could try using your own images (or point to the existing images). This will make the URL end with .gif.
Tony
MemberYahoo does have this code too. Not sure if you can add a predefined line of text though.

MemberNo, just add them one at a time through the Admin Tool and they will be added to your block list.
Tony
MemberIn the Admin Tool, click Block referer…
Enter the hostname of the host you wish to add to your block list, for example http://www.evilhost.com or evilhost.com
If you find hosts that you think should be blocked on all OSI hosts, send an e-mail to info@onlinestatus.tk
