Hi guys 🙂
Im having troubles with Trillian 2.0, before I could select a unicode font (Lucida Sans MS Unicode) and choose Hebrew script so that I could chat in Hebrew in IRC… now I cant display or type anymore, it seems that anytime I change the font to Lucida Sans MS Unicode and Hebrew script, it automatically turns back to Western script. Tried using Hebrew script only fonts but still no luck… any suggestions? 🙁 Regarding other chat services like MSN or ICQ works well … and IRC used to work until I dunno what happened…
Im on WinXP Home btwThanks

See section 2.2 of the original specification if you’re interested, but basically by using unicode Trillian was breaking the IRC rules, so it was treated (rightly IMO) as a bug and fixed.
October 8, 2003 at 10:42 pm #54885EKMemberI dont think that is true cause I enter IRC servers and channels in which people write in Hebrew. I even entered IRC channels in which people write in Japanese.
Check out http://www.unilang3.org/main/chat.php
By the way I was using it without problems (Trillian 2.0) with Hebrew on IRC the first times but afterwards it didnt work anymore, and my non-unicode applications user locale in WinXP Home is Japanese (crazy huh?)
Believe me I wasnt dreaming but I was actually using Trillian 2.0 to enter DALnet and I typed in Hebrew unicode script and it worked. Dont know why it doesnt anymore.
Thank yo for your reply 🙂
