I’m running a similar configuration at home, and I’d be happy to test. I haven’t heard of that specific problem though.
A couple of thoughts… Are you running XP’s firewall? Or ANY firewall? Are you behind a router? These are all factors that can make video connections a bit unpredictable. The strange thing in your case is that when your friend sends the invitation, it works.
