Can anyone help me with this problem. I am running XP with a Logitech Webcam. When someone asks me for a video chat I accept and it works fine. If I instigate the video chat the video screen stays blank at both ends and just comes up with the connecting message. After a short period it says that a connection cannot be made??? Now I have swapped camera with a friend, he has the exact same camera and software, and he can start the video chat and I still can’t……Any Ideas?????
:confused:December 23, 2002 at 11:19 pm #65564Jeff HesterKeymasterI’m running a similar configuration at home, and I’d be happy to test. I haven’t heard of that specific problem though.
A couple of thoughts… Are you running XP’s firewall? Or ANY firewall? Are you behind a router? These are all factors that can make video connections a bit unpredictable. The strange thing in your case is that when your friend sends the invitation, it works.
January 8, 2003 at 4:33 pm #65566urxlncMemberI know about this, I also have problems with it, when someone request me voice invitation and I accept it works(100% times), and if I send a request and other accept it doesn’t work (99% times).
I am behind proxy and I connect directly to ADSL from my computer, and I am unable to figure out how!
Any Ideas?

You answered your own question =)
Your proxy doesn’t allow outgoing voice conversations.

If my proxy don’t support out going voice, then how can I do when they invite me to ????
And before you point out something, in that again… My ISP gives Proxy connections (ISP SERVER IS PROXY) and I connect directly to the ISP SERVER, with proxy settings.
