I use trillian…
-saves on resources. Dont have to run AOLIM, Yahoo!IM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, and Windows Messenger all at once
-i do not have to see “:mad:wonderful:mad:” advertisments.
-Skins are nice
-Transperancy is just cool
-it does emoticons… has some icons of its own (like when you type “trillian” or “winamp”…
everytime a service updates, the Trillian crew has to change things though so keeping up is a challange and sometimes I go a day or 2 without a specific IM working. Like Yahoo!IM: you have remove your name and readd it with no capital letters to get it to work… others just gotta make sure you have d patch installed.
Never could get IRC to work though
