I suspect YaHa infection from what I have been reading.
Any exe files you need to open MUST be renamed to .com (com and exe are both executable files, the virus only effects files with extenion .exe). Write down any exe files you are instructed to open, change the file extension, and then when its all fixed, change back to .exe. Also when you are finished, run your normal virus scan to get rid of any last bits.
