I remember when I was 5 years old – I would go to my cousins’ house all the time. They had “NINTENDO” – the newest coolest thing around.
So I found some old games today which I was previously attached to.. which just spontaneiously brought up the question – what’s your favorite classic (after atari) game?
Mine?
Okay I admit – it’s dorky. But it’s a battle between JazzJackrabbits and Supier Mario Bros 2. (both for nintendo)

My favorite classic game of has to be and always will be Pac-Man.
I am not too much of a fan of the new re-released underwater Pac-Man game though. But the original did and still does kick butt, but I think Midway could have done alot of different marketing scenarios with Pac-Man, they did Ms. Pac-Man a few years later but by that time the rave was at a close.
Who could forget “Inky”,”Blinky”,”Pinky” — “Sneezy”, “Bashful” and “Doc”? oops wrong characters 🙂

Well……….
I think I would have to say my favs would have to be Mario Bros.
Or Kerby’s adventures. I remember siting in font of my TV and getting mad because I couldn’t beat the “big guys”
Ahhhhhh the days of Nintendo…… now we have N64
-What joy!
BTW what’s the price on a regular Nintendo? $20 bucks??
I have about a gazillion games, maybe I will go out to Canadian Tire and buy one………. if their still out

Nintendo, what a game machine that was…
There was one game I grew very fawn of, and it was way before it began ruling Monday nights and that was ‘Pro Wrestling’. Remember that game?I remember I could take a character and beat the pine tar out of another character for 8 hours and they never called a match for plain brutality.
I mean honestly if you got dropped on your head about hundred times would you still be walking or would then become the poster child for Jerry’s kids?
Oh the good ol’ days

Which arises a whole new subject of favoritism…
PC Games
My favorite PC game of all time was – and still is – the original MYST.
I got it in… ’96 I believe. And it was kinda scary for my me actually…. All the dark chambers and Sirrus’ Cabin. Aww the dear youngesters. So cute when they get scared…

ania@mb.sympatico.caNow if we are discussing PC games, I would have to say my favorite was:
Wolfenstein 3-D
That games was definately ahead of its time. I am sure I am going to upset DOOM lovers when I say this but if hadn’t been for Wolfenstein, there would have probably been no DOOM.

I would have to say that Wolfenstein is one of my fav old-school PC games… The only thing that I don’t like about it is that when they make a remake of it for the snes… They took out a lot of the parts of it (all the Nazi references, no german speaking) taking away a lot of the oringinal settings… I hate it when that happens
