Some people have got 2000mb storage on their MSN account yet they aren’t a subscriber for extra storage or premium, I only get a 2mb mailbox, how is it possible to get 2gb storage for free?
You sure they just didnt happen to say….”2000kb” (not 2000MBs), which is the equivalant of 2MBs?!?!?!
I don’t know, but I think it may be legitimate, as reported on Neowin.net.
It’s not inconceivable. GMail is offering 1GB for free, so it’s not too much of a stretch to give 2 GB, especially if it’s limited to paid subscribers.
The hitch (or the glitch?) is that they are apparently offering @msn.com accounts to non-subscribers, and thus anyone could get a 2GB account. We’ll see if it lasts. 😉
MSN corrected the glitch. I know a few people on msn.com emails with 2GB AFTER the glitch was corrected, and they still have the large inbox limit.
hi, it was a bug in upgrading the accounts to 250 MB (free).. it was exploited using MSN explorer v7.02 with comes with XP or downloaded from the net.. Hotmail soon noticed the bug and fixed it.. gradually all the email accounts will be shrinked to its normal size (250 MB)
i allso got a email from MSN saying

I got 2000mb of storage on hotmail They are competing with yahoo.ca Yahoo did it first ti attract ppl to use Yahoo Mail and now Hotmail decided to do the same!
yep, I have already update my yahoo mail to 1GB,I cant understand why microsoft still keep silent @_@
it is impossible to get a free mail to 2000M, if you can hand in money for to get a 2000M mail box!!!
2000MB (2048MB) = 2GB. MSN Hotmail does not offer 2GB of FREE email storage, nor does any other main host like Yahoo!, or Gmail. The most offered for free is Yahoo! China (1GB), or Gmail (1GB). MSN Hotmail will only offer 250MB for free. If you wish to have the 2GB, you must pay for a subscription. Both Yahoo!, and MSN Hotmail offer 2GB storage capacities at subscription prices. Check web sites for more information.
