Hi,
I have RCN email. I was trying to send an email to someone at hotmail twice. Both times it returned back to me. What is causing the 550 failure? Is it account deleted? Is it mailbox full? I will post the error below. I will take out the email. I won’t post it here.
The following message to <> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 – Unknown address error 550-‘Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable’
That would appear to me to mean the email address is no longer valid.
If the mailbox is unavailble that could mean a variety of things could it not? such as you just not being able to connect to it? so the server could be down? the e-mail could have been deleted or as you said the mailbox could be full, however I think the mailbox being full would probably return a different error, perhaps you should check the e-mail again with that person?
