I have read prob every thread here and elsewhere with no luck.
Messenger 6.1.0.207 (had .203 but upgraded hoping bill fixed, lol)
Veo stingray v301 webcam with current driver (dl`ed 2 days ago) Thru usb port.
I get the same device isn`t plugged in or in use error like everyone else.Won`t even let me do cam set-up (seen a few who made past that point).Webcam proggy works fine, netmeeting works fine with it.I tried replacing the now infamous rtcdll.dll file with file from v5 into system folder with no luck (after trying the new install of .0207).I can`t toss my networking drivers as seen mentioned as i`m still on dial-up and needs it.No firewalls/routers,proxies etc.Veo site mentioned (logitechs as well) that 98 has issues with video devices. Can`t seem to recognize what device is trying to be accessed.I don`t have any other video devices installed and also did the reboot and try thing to.If someone knows of version of rtcdll.dll that gets it to work on 98se and what version of messenger that bugger is in let me know.Gotta d/l messenger to get that file, not on web for any version but the latest.
Bill Gates new motto: ” You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can`t please all the people all the time.” (or is that in company handbook ?)
