Have you heard of Majestic? It’s EA’s new online game that uses email, phone messages, fax and even instant messages to draw you into a suspenseful game that blurs the lines between the virtual and the real. Ever see the Michael Douglas movie “The Game?” It’s supposed to be similar to that… the game that plays you!
Well, to play you have to register at http://www.ea.com (which is free). You also have to be 18 years or older, which they validate by asking for a valid credit card number (which the PROMISE they won’t use…hmmmm).
The system requirements are pretty stringent (sorry Linux-heads!), but the average Windows machine should be OK.
The first “episode” is free, but subsequent episodes require a “premium” EA membership. Basically, it’s a teaser to get you to upgrade to their paid, monthly membership (about $10 US).
I’m downloading the components and will report back on whether it’s worth it or not.
If anyone else has played, share your experience!

Given the recent national tragedy, EA has temporarily suspended service on Majestic. Majestic players will be contacted concerning resumption of the game.
