If you’re using WLM9 Beta and are having problems signing in due to the Error 80070057 hiccup, here’s the solution, courtesy of iMad. You can also read about my own experiences in my blog.
Exit WLM9 completely before carrying out the following:
If you’re using Windows XP: Go to C:Documents and Settings%UsernameLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftWindows Live Contacts. Delete all the folders with cryptic numbers and letters, but don’t delete the folders with email addresses.
If you’re using Windows Vista: Go to C: > Users > User Name > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Windows Live Contacts. Delete all the folders with cryptic numbers and letters, but don’t delete the folders with email addresses.
Restart WLM9. You should be able to sign in.
