"Accept IMs from people on my buddy list only"

Is there a way around this? If someone has this option selected is there a way to im them anyhow?

Yes, download AIM 1.0 and install it. Add the user to your buddylist and your screen name will then be added to their “Recent Buddies” group.

Eh…that didn’t work at all. All it did was give me a severly old version of AIM. I still couldn’t im the person….and since she doesn’t know about the name I’m using..I know it’s not that she has me blocked.

yeah it doesnt work.

you should have installed it to a different directory. she has the privacy checked where only people on her buddy list can IM her.

Try getting on your old screenname, and IMing her from there, other options would be:

email
Call her/ tell her in person
