Hi
Recently I have been using Messenger within the email browser and I have noticed something different when the other person is typing. There is usually the normal “Fred is typing a message..” display but occasionally it says something like “Fred is typing something utterly brilliant” or “Fred is typing while chewing gum” and various other combinations.
Is this a purely random thing or is it something within the sender’s control?
Any ideas?
Cheers:)
two more messages that I spotted today with my conversation with Fred 😉
1000 monkeys just landed on Fred’s keyboard
Bate your breath, for Fred is typingIt’s a good idea from Yahoo and shows a surprising amount of wit 🙂
Now that Yahoo are openly pushing this form of messenger it seems that they have removed these random messages. I guess I it must have been the beta version that generated them.
It’s a real shame, but fun while it lasted 😀
The last ones I saw were:
Fred is in the zone, prepare for an AHA moment
Fred is about to drop knowledge
Fred is hammering out a wicked comebackMaybe they will get their sense of humour back soon 😉
until then I will have to settle for Fred is typing a message 🙁Those messages are still around!! (Note this post’s date.)
I’m IM’ing via their email client (which for whatever reason they call “Chat” there.. you know, to confuse it with Yahoo Chat in their Messenger…). I’ve never seen those before but in my IM convo I’ve seen 2!! (username is about to drop knowledge… and … username is typing AND chewing gum at the same time … or similar). VERY COOL!! Now if they’d let you make a custom one….hehe.
