I want to know how i can add a person to yahoo messenger without them knowing i.e without using yahoo messenger.
May 16, 2003 at 8:10 pm #96281IndyToneMemberWhy would you want to do that? Why can’t you just ask them for permission?
May 16, 2003 at 8:14 pm #96282OctoberTheHottieMemberMaybe you want to watch someone with out them knowing you are interested….. maybe you took someone off cuz they were being a pootie head and now you want to add them again without making it obvious that you took them off and want them on now….. not everyone is stalkers, lol, maybe we are just shy? i am speaking for myself, i don’t know why that freak stalker asked, just kidding, lol!
May 16, 2003 at 8:42 pm #96285MimesScareMeMemberWouldnt that be sorta like an invasion of privacy?

And I, for one and not only, I am glad that he WOULD… Don’t cast aspursions on Jeff for doing what is right. Maybe there is something wrong with the purpose of your litte program and this idea of adding people….. I mean, if people are really your friends, and you erased them accidently or out of anger, they won’t mind if you add them again. THINK ABOUT IT…. 🙁
May 22, 2003 at 6:33 pm #96288jess_uberMemberIt’s better just to ask permission….using one of those underground progs could get your account locked, even your IP blocked completely over time! *wink*
May 23, 2003 at 12:39 am #96283darkjediMemberyeah i agree oreo, if you accidently clicked on someones name and hit delete and didnt realize it nothing is wrong, but if your wanting to do it so you can view like a girls cam and its in her room and you want to do it all the time and see her changing or something, or hell just to do it for any reason that is wrong.

May 24, 2003 at 11:17 pm #96300Celtic_coventinaMember😮 I do not know how to add them to your buddy list without permission. But you can add them to your address book. (as long as they have a valid yahoo email account) You can then see if they are online by viewing your address book.
May 26, 2003 at 6:28 am #96293ddoublejMemberThats a good idea Celtic_coventina i’ve never thought of it that way until now….I see you have experence….hehe

It’s true. I just tried it using a different ID to add another one of my ID’s and no permission message. How can this be, anyone knows?
May 28, 2003 at 8:46 am #96299Celtic_coventinaMemberNo DDoublej, not so much “experience.” (I’m no stalker) It is just something I noticed over time as I add people to my address book. Sometimes I add them to my address book before sending the request to be on their buddy list. So I can write them and have their email handy. I noticed even though they were not yet on my buddy list I can still see whether they are on or offline in my address book. This works even if they do not have the “I’m online” notification in their profile. It is probably something Yahoo should fix…but it works.
May 28, 2003 at 3:27 pm #96287NettiMemberHmmmm Now for some reason that little trick of Celtic’s doesn’t work for me. I tried last night because I thought it was interesting. And of course EVERYONE, who was invisible on my list, was also invisible in my addy book. However, I was still talking to them in the room.
