MemberHi guys,
I’ve been looking around for stuff to customize my WLM or MSN or however you may want to call it, and then I stumbled upon something I found really really cute. I don’t know if it’s suppose to be posted here, hope you’ll appreciate it.
it’s called IMinent and it’s got this thing you attach to your IM window and you send live all sorts of funny videos and stuff. It’s beta now, but I’m able to invite you all to it, being among the first beta testers and all (yeah, I know, I’m bragging 😛 so sue me). Well, anyhow:

See ya,

MemberYeah, I was invited to participate in the testing of that, but I’ve been so busy with course work, I haven’t had time. It’s on my list of things to do…when I get the time. >_<

MemberYeah, I kinda had the same issue. Been busy with school and needed no distraction. Because it is a bit addictive, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Anyway, tell me what you think of it, maybe we’ll share some EMOvids 😉April 24, 2007 at 10:10 am #160240IMinent

MemberHey everybody,
We are glad to announce that we’ve launched, on our portal, the public beta version of our Add-on.
As you already know, IMinent is the Add-on which allows you to send and receive instantly video winks during chat sessions on messengers (actually MSN / WLM). Each video wink can be created, stocked and shared on our IM portal in your specific account.
According to the beta public, we’ve spent our time to improve drastically the stability and the ergonomics.
– Drag&drop from IMinent to MSN/WLM.
– Appearance of the video winks is faster than ever due to Jabber system. Now the sent/received video is as fast as for winks or emoticons.
– We developed a shortcut [windows+i] to maximize/minimize the IMinent window.
– We also improved the video winks access content on our portal.I let you have a look (more info on our blog! IMINENT Blog ), feel free to speak about it !!
Attention : this version is not compatible with the older ones. All your friends need to update it !
Friendly,

MemberHey everybody,
Here’s what’s new in version 1.1.720.0, launched this week:
– Invite your buddies feature (see our blog: http://iminent.wordpress.com/ for more details);
– A faster, better flash player which optimizes the EMOvid’s view;
– Windows + i minimizes the Add-on to systray;Thanks to this version, you can now send your buddies a personalized invitation!
Now your buddies can directly download IMinent and see EMOvids playing instantly. How is it possible? Here is where the Invite button is located:
The icon “invite your buddies” lets you access to a pop up window: You will be informed about how to invite your buddies.

The pop up window gives you the choice between sending to all, sending to some of your buddies, or it gives you the possibility of sending an invitation later.

In the case you choose to invite some of your best buddies, a new window opens to select them. Note that all your buddies which have an IM icon on the front are already IMinentized! After validation you can write your personalized message:

Then: Taaaa Daaaam!! Your friends will receive a mail like this one:

According to this version some improvements have been done regarding the flash player. We saw that some problems appeared when you sent an EMOvid (the video winks seem cut). So developers worked on a faster, better, stronger flash player!! In one word: an intelligent flash player which optimizes the video winks plays. Regarding the ergonomics, we added a flash banner for slower computers to ensure users that the EMOvid is loading.

With the invite your buddies feature we are very close to the instant access for wonderful exchange video winks with friends without losing time!
Hoping you like it,
The IMinent Team

MemberExcellent. I wish I had more time to try this out – I’ll try and get around to it very soon. I have been looking over it, but sadly have not been able to try it out (time constraints, not technical problems).
It looks really fun and interesting.

Thanks 😉 Hope you’ll get to try it.
And just to tease for a little bit, you’re in for a very nice surprise in about a week or so. So hang on, it’s coming!July 25, 2007 at 5:28 pm #160248aleph
ParticipantI’ve tried IMinent and found it a nice tool. But I think that Meebo Rooms is a more complete application for video on IM. have you tried both?
