Ok the more they come out with versions of ICQ the stupider the program gets. I found something else that makes me want to stick to earlier versions, I can only add and remove people from invisible or visible while being online. It won’t work if I’m offline like it use to. Just retarded.
February 26, 2003 at 7:44 am #97907rustedtightMemberIn view of the lack of replies to your post it seems possible that the problem is contained within your computer.
Possibly YOU need to check your own setup first.February 26, 2003 at 7:57 am #97909MistahManParticipantActually I was on the ICQ news group and this is in fact the new way the ICQ program is set up. No longer can one make yourself visible or invisible to a particular person on your list if you are not online at the time of doing this, which sort of defeats the purpose if the person is online. This is of course in regards to the latest build of version 2003.
February 26, 2003 at 11:54 am #97906rustedtightMemberThere seems a distinct lack of interest by users.
🙂
How do you see it as self defeating? Once done the other user would assume you went offline and this is what your trying to achieve is it not? Invisibility?February 27, 2003 at 4:21 am #97908MistahManParticipantYes of course, there’s always a solution to any problem. I get that. The point is this program is deteriorating with each new version. The lack of interest in my post could be two folds:
One being that maybe other users here are using older versions
Or
Not enough people come to this board perhaps?!? If you’ve noticed, it’s not exactly crowded here.

Thats life.
Its possible all the ICQ users here are satisfied with how its working now and feel no desire to comment.
For myself, I’m satisfied with how it handles making oneself invisible. -
