MemberHi everyone. just found this site thru a yahoo search and I think it’s an awesome site! I already d/l xmas smilies for my yahoo. đŸ™‚
Anyway, about a year ago, I found a yahoo page where you can add contacts on the web which avoids sending the notification IM, so the person doesn’t know you are adding them.
Does anyone know where that page is? Darned if I can find it.
Thanks bunches!

MemberThat would possibly be against forum policies, as it might not quite be an invasion of privacy, but its along those lines. Therefore we cannot help you.
I think i’m right…someone correct me if i’m not.

MemberWell, it’s a link on Yahoo. It’s a totally legitimate link. I just can’t find it. you can add buddies on the web instead of on the messenger client itself.
So, how it could be against forum rules when it’s perfectly legit, doesn’t make sense, right?
I posted on a another forum also on the web, if I get the link I will post it back here.

MemberAh well I guess if its on a Yahoo site, then fair enough.
I was just thinking that adding them without them knowing is erm…whats the word, invasion of privacy is the only thing I can think of…
Never mind though.
Anyway, slightly belated, but welcome to BigBlueBall!

MemberI highly doubt Yahoo! would allow anyone to add someone without their knowing it and advertise that. Besides, adding without permission is something that Yahoo! have worked over the last few years to stop…so IF there ever was a link…it’s gone.

MemberYou can edit your friends list here: http://edit.yahoo.com/config/set_buddylist
but if you add someone to your friend’s list from this page, yahoo will still send them a message asking for their permission.November 29, 2004 at 7:08 am #105986FallenAnjel
MemberI just looked around tonight, and found this same link. I guess they changed the whole privacy thing.
Aaaaaah well, it was fun while it lasted. :0/
But that’s ok……….there’s still AIM. đŸ˜€

MemberThen how come on paltalk chat you can add people to your friends, buddy, pal list without them knowing? If it is invasion of privacy then how come paltalk allows you to add without consent or knowledge?
