I find the docking feature on the 6.x version very annoying. Sometimes I’ll close the window behind me instead of closing the aim window. Does anyone know how to removes the docking feature? What I mean by docking is that when I drag it closer to the edge the buddy list will suck itself the the edge and I can’t hide part of the “X” button.I have to hide all of it or show all of it.
You sure can disable buddy list docking. In AIM 6.9.15.1, Click Edit>Settings… Then click the Buddy List tab, and under Buddy List Display, uncheck the box next to “Buddy List window can be ‘docked’ on left or right of desktop”. Finally, click “Save” at the bottom of the settings window.
The docking I’m talking about is the sticky docking. Using AIM 5.9 when you drag the buddy list to the left it doesn’t stick like AIM 6.x
