AIM account checkers no longer work?

For some reason, my AIM Check 4.0 just hangs there, and never returns whether a screenname is valid. Anyone else experiencing this?

Maybe this has something to do with the recent AIM updates.

Ive been having the same problem when using the password verifying feature for aim check 4.0. it stops on connected. i would suggest going to the aimlabs website and posting the problem on their forum or send one of them at the website an email or instant message. i know they list way to reach them on the website.

Maybe it runs off of TOC; TOC has been disabled recently.

http://www.andrewismy.name/index.php?a=programs download Alcheck 2.0, it has the same interface as aimcheck for ease of use, but it works 😉
