Participantevery addon i’ve had for aim seems to fail in one area or another. i’ve tried deadaim, middleman, aimutation.. and random other programs.. none of them seem to work fully. the closest i’ve found is middleman.. but when i try to open the log manger my aim errors, i can look them up manually in the folder where it saves the logs, but that’s still not what i’m looking for.
is their seperate addons for logging?.. and aliases?.. that’s the only two things i really want with an addon for aim. compatiable with the newest versions.
i want the logging be saved to a specified folder so i can save the logs when i format. also the same for aliases.. or at least have a way to save them so i don’t have to input them all in again.
if anybody knows an addon that actually works and doesn’t error your aim all the time and is fully compatiable with the newest version of aim please inform me.
i have satellite internet, and my computer has to use a proxy to connect to it, so this may be what causes some of my problems, i know it does with some other programs.
any suggestions appreciated.

ParticipantGoodAIM seems to be working great so far, hopefully it continues this way.
as for IM grabber, i can’t find a download link.. the main site where it’s hosted at is down.. (bitsplash.com)
do you know of another logging addon i can add? possibly one that logs pictures as well, that’s sent during DC’s.

MemberWhat version of AIM do you have?
I use 5.2.3292, and i have no problems with DeadAIM or Middle_Man.January 25, 2005 at 9:20 am #112456Someguy03
MemberI have to ask, where do you find that Aimutation fails you? I am yet to find an area it doesn’t succeed well in. But if you are speaking of compatibility problems, there isn’t a program around that will hold you up there.

I use 5.2.3292, and i have no problems with DeadAIM or Middle_Man.i had tried AIM 5.2.3292, and 5.5.3415. i don’t like deadaim because it only includes the aliases ony our buddylist, not in the chat window. for middleman when i opened the log manager it would error out the program.
my isp is also a satellite.. the satellite uses a proxy to connect which could be some of my problems? wouldn’t surprise me as it arises alot of others.

ParticipantCantTouchThis wrote:Maybe a file was corrupt, Try re-installing Middle_Man.i did, about 20 times.. i tried re-installing it with 3 different versions of aim. i also had another problem with it before and posted it on the middleman forums, and nobody knew the answer to it either..
(when i opened middleman it would try to connect and take to long and then give some error, then i would try to connect the second time and it would go through but without the middleman features. they said this happens sometimes because the aim service is to busy and to close out aim and try it again, but it kept doing the same thing.)
then a week later it started working again, however when i tried opening the log manager my aim errors.
